What happens in Pr.Takeuchi's lab

Last week, Monday. We were having a pleasant afternoon in the lab, chatting with the just entered guys from 4th year. Talking a bout this an that, not that much in my case since my Japanese is yet minimalistic, to say it in a kind way. Anyway, without time to react, Pr. Takeuchi appeared in the lab with a task (2 tasks to be exact) which I didn’t undesrtant at the begining but could tell but the guy’s faces that it wasn’t a normal task.

Some missundertandings after, I realised what Pr. Takeuchi was expecting us to do. That was:

  • a simple current state board (just “in the lab” and “out” states).
  • and some information system to provide the guys from other labs with our current research subjects.

The results are here…

The first pic, you can appreciate the color variation, right? those are wooden cards with everybodys name in black on one side and red on the other. Black means “out”, red means “in the lab”. My card is the top left one. The second pic is the “information system” but in its paper-based version consisting of three A3 sheets connected with pointers to complete the whole string for each of the members, Mine is the second istarting from the left, but since I took the pictures with the mobile the quality isn’t that good.
